Physical Therapy, Re-imagined
Gone are the days of PT 2-3 times per week for weeks on end.
The Breathe PT philosophy emphasizes individualized, one-on-one care, using evidence-based practices so that we can provide our patients with a toolkit to use and achieve lasting results.
Before anything else, we will listen. We then conduct a full and comprehensive evaluation; no rushing you out the door.
Leveraging this information alongside our considerable experience, we will develop a plan with you to get you back to the lifestyle you want.

The Team
Ross Craig
PT, OCS, Cert. MDT
Growing up in Connecticut Ross developed a strong appreciation for family, friends, and an active lifestyle, enjoying various sports at an early age. He also developed a passion for serving others and helping those in need.
Ross was a collegiate swimmer, has completed a half-ironman, regularly runs marathons, and can often be found traversing the many mountains the PNW has to offer.
His background as both an athlete and clinician continues to shape his approach to care, giving him a unique understanding of performance, injury, and recovery.
Ross has lived the frustration of injuries that derail one’s hobbies, athletic pursuits, and daily life and finds great fulfillment helping his patient’s recover and getting them back to the activities they love.
Cecilia Jean (CJ) Shane
DPT, CLT
CJ brings nearly 20 years of clinical experience to Breathe, specializing in pelvic health, lymphedema, and breast cancer care.
Forever committed to an active lifestyle, CJ’s younger self played varsity soccer and devoted years to studying dance. As an adult, CJ has traded in the cleats and toe shoes for all variety of running, hiking, and snow-traversing footwear.
CJ understands the pain and frustration that comes with injury and an inability to participate in activities and daily life in the manner one would like. One of her greatest traits - and truly a gift in this field - is her (super)natural empathy for people, and commitment to her patient’s recovery.
While presently working on the administrative side, we hope to add CJ's vast collection of clinical skills to the Breathe rotation, soon.
Shane Craig
The "Big" Boss
Shane firmly sets the clinic’s priorities and schedule. Ruling (ahem, “managing”) with an iron fist and a top-notch team of plush stuffies.
While you won’t find Shane providing hands-on patient care, she keeps the clinic staff organized and grounded in what’s most important… the people.
Fees and Insurance FAQs
-
Breathe Physical Therapy is a cash-based clinic. This means that we do not accept insurance.
Insurance companies would consider us to be an out-of-network provider.
At your request we will happily provide a superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for use - as applicable - against your out-of-network benefits. A superbill is an itemized bill with all the medical codes needed by an insurance company to process a claim.

Simple. Insurance companies don’t help you get better, and they certainly don’t help you get better, faster.
Insurance companies often require you to first go see your primary care provider and/or receive prior authorization to visit a PT. These steps take more of your time, delay your care by weeks or even months, and can potentially end up costing more through deductibles and/or coinsurance. And your care is dictated by far-away bean-counters potentially with little or no actual medical expertise.
At Breathe, we can generally see you the same week, you’ll receive care from a team with decades of experience and specialty training and there will be zero insurance company meddling.
Cash‑based care isn’t about paying more — it’s about paying for the right solution sooner.
Just like the "ship repair man" story, the value isn’t in the number of visits or the length of the session. It’s in getting an accurate diagnosis, a clear plan, and fast results from someone who specializes in the area of concern. This aligns with the story's point that the expert's value comes from judgement, experience, and knowledge, not the amount of effort put in to solve the problem.
In a world full of PT options, expertise ultimately saves time, money, and frustration. That is the value you get when you come to Breathe PT.
